Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

Authors and their responsibility

Submitted abstracts are checked for plagiarism.

Authors can not submit an abstract or a paper for the proceedings that has been published in a journal or another conference.

Once the first stage of checking is finished successfully for the submitted abstract, it is forwarded to the members of the Scientific Committee that work on similar research areas with that of the abstract. The abstract is sent without the details of the authors (blind review). Depending on the outcomes of the peer-reviewing the authors are notified.

The prevention of publication malpractice is the responsibility of the author, reviewer, editor and publisher. If the author intends to submit the work presented in the conference to a journal, then it is the author’s responsibility to notify the Scientific Secretariat and provide at least an extended abstract and the presentation to be included in the proceedings. A very brief note explaining the situation will be quoted.

Peer-review process

Reviewed abstracts/papers before included in the proceedings are treated confidentially.

Reviewers should have no conflict of interest. If yes, they notify the Scientific Committee and do not proceed with the review.

Proceeding papers are subject to examination of a list of minimum standards (references and language checking, plagiarism, corrections based on the discussion during presentation at conference).

Publication ethics

Publisher  and editor of the proceedings take reasonable steps to identify and prevent the publication of papers where research misconduct has occurred.

In no case shall the Editor, the Scientific Committee and the Scientific Secretariat  will encourage such misconduct or knowingly allow such misconduct to take place.

Publisher and editor will be always willing to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when needed.

Copyright and access

Proceeding of the conference will be open access to readers. All conference presentations the proceedings are open access. The links are provided in the respective web-pages. If one of the conference papers is to be published – after peer-reviewing- in the Euro – Asian Journal of Sustainable Energy Development Policy, then  a Transfer Copyright Agreement (following international practices) is required from the author.
